Heirloom Vegetables

I don't really have anything to offer in return and I can't even promise to plant every seed you send but if there are some "seed savers" out there that would like to donate some seeds to the Ohio Wilderness Boys' Camp chuckwagon garden I would be happy to plant what I can.  I'll try to find a home for whatever I can't use with one of the ladies here.  We have some very ambitious gardeners out here and they would most likely be pleased with something like that.

Thanks!

"Be Your Own Doctor"

I would like to buy a case of Rachel Weaver's book: "Be Your Own Doctor" if I could find someone to split it with me.  They normally sell for $25 but of course are cheaper by the case.  There are 22 in a case so if you want to buy 10 or more they would be $16.75 each.  If you want 5 it would be $22, and if you want only one it would be the normal retail price of $25.  Let me know by the end of July if you would like to be included in this.  I would get them to you by the end of August.

cutting up!

Does anyone have an electric knife they'd like to part with for free or a low price?  We cut all our bread by hand and that seems tedious to me since I was spoiled most of my life. :)

looking for a ride

I would like to go home to visit the week of July 4th.  July 4th is on a Monday and I would like to catch a ride Sunday evening (the 3rd) with someone traveling from Ohio to PA and then the next weekend, preferably Friday sometime from PA to Ohio.  I do have a car and I don't mind driving by myself but it seems inefficient if there's a chance of catching a ride.  I don't mind paying my share either - just so you know I won't expect to ride free just because I'm in service. :)  Washington Co would also be an optional starting and ending place.

Keep praying for us out here - we definitely do need it!  May God bless your weekend.

Looking for a summer job

I am looking for something 2 or 3 days a week this summer to keep me from getting too bored. I would love a babysitting job but would be willing to do pretty much anything. If you know of anything or anyone please let me know!

Looking for a roommate (round 2)

Jodi's planning to move to Paraguay in January, so I'm looking for someone to take her place at my house. If anyone knows of a single female looking for a beautiful place with very low rent, let me know or have them contact me!

Looking for an air conditioner (round 2)

Just thought I'd check again to see if anyone has a window unit lying around that they'd want to sell (or donate to my cause!). My office at school is super hot, especially today!

Who gave the cookbook?

At my farewell at Anita's house a while back a wonderful cookbook showed up BUT I don't know who it's from!  The title is "Wholesome Home Cooking".  I would love to know who to thank.

cookbook for Judith

As many of you know Judith is planning on going to Ohio Wilderness Boys Camp as cook in May.  Let's share some of our favorite recipes with her. They can come in pretty much any format. There is a  8.5"x5" scrapbook to put some recipes in. It would also be neat to maybe do a few pages with pictures and words of wisdom.
Following are some pages you can print out or you can create your own.
Recipes on regular recipes cards are also great.

Would you like to volunteer at the library?

I am looking for someone to take my place volunteering at the library.  The work is very easy and fun - especially if you like books and people.  You only need to go in two hours every Wednesday sometime between 11:30 and 3:30.  I really enjoy my contact with the people there and felt it was a great way to serve in the community.  Please let me know if you are interested.  I would be delighted to find someone to fill my spot!

Anybody still use training wheels?

I was cleaning out our garage/barn over Christmas vacation and found a pair of training wheels that we absolutely don't need anymore so if someone wants them they are yours.

Empanada Supper

My friend Arlis Miller and I are doing an empanada supper for a fund-raiser for a trip to Paraguay.  We want to reconnect with friends we made down there when we were in service.  The supper is planned for January 15, 2011 from 4-8 at Weavertown School.  Admission is by donation.  (suggested is $5/child, $8/adult, but feel free to give as you feel able)  There will be a slide show with pictures of Paraguayan scenery and daily life.  There will be several people serving Paraguay's national beverage, terere` for your refreshment. :)  If you would like to help make empanadas call Judith at 468-6203.  In case of bad weather call before coming.  Thanks!  Judith Weaver
