More Sorting
This picture portrays what is left of the contents of the house. As you can see there really isn't a whole lot left. This will all be going to the restore tomorrow.
A lot of writing was done today. Remembering what was where in the house and what was lost. We've tried to remember everything but I don't think that happened yet.
On the house
Last night we got together and discussed what was necessary and what we wanted. Mom, Dad, and Merv went to see the architect this morning. He will be giving us preliminary sketches in a day or so then we will need to make some decisions from there on what to do.
The next few days it will probably seem like very little is happening. We'll be working on the major decisions as well as more lists of things that are missing.
Also today, some of the family planted the garden.
Oh and Ryan was given a lot of attention.
Thanks again for all of your support. We'll continue to attempt to keep you updated as we continue on this journey.

Cleanup
the main structural damage was in the kitchen and living room. Everything in both rooms were destroyed.
a shot of the kitchen rubble
the livingroom
the master bedroom
the bathroom
the clean up workers.
As you could see in the pictures the Dining room, living room, kitchen, and bathroom were completely destroyed. The bedrooms had a few salvagable items but were severely water and smoked damaged. The basement was the same way.
Sunday night everything came out of the house. Overnight there was a flare up but the fire company was able to quickly put it out.
Today a LOT has happened. We arrived around 11:30 a.m. and things were moving along quite well. There was a group of family going through the personal belongings and deciding what goes and what stays.
Neighbors and church men were tearing down the rest of the house. It is completely down. Thanks to all the help.
Now we are deciding what to build from here. The basement walls are going to taken down and we are starting completely over.
